Living with severe allergies – Tips

  • Try to avoid what triggers your allergy.  Tell friends, family, and colleagues what your allergies are so they are aware what you can and can't have to eat for example.

  • Know how to recognise the symptoms of anaphylaxis and spread that knowledge to those around you.

  • Have your Anapen duo pack available at all times and ensure they are within expiry. You can register your devices using our Expiry Alert Service and we will remind you when they need to be replaced.  If they are close to expiry, have expired, or have been used in the event of an anaphylactic reaction, seek a new prescription from your Doctor.

  • Practise with your Anapen trainers and do this with friends and family so they know how to use them too.

  • Watch the Anapen training video and make sure you refresh this knowledge frequently.
